I’m really fired up by toxic workplaces/co workers. I am so fortunate that I am no longer in this situation but now that I see my partner in it, I saw how much I suffered with imposter syndrome and how much I didn’t speak up for myself. I feel so activated and want everyone to know that they deserve to work in an environment that feels safe to them. I know it’s so much easier said than done — and it’s making me curious of how can I continue to dismantle the the unhealthy systems that are present with in me while making real sustainable change that is supportive for all folks. How can I dismantle the system without blaming myself or others? How can I create a supportive narrative and own a safe space that can truly be felt and heard in a healthy positive way? 00:42:25 Karen McMillan | YINpreneur: Replying to "I needed some peace ..." Walking to the house, sitting in the room, the harmonium between me and Guruji, the atrium out the door to my left with tulasi reaching up to the sky in the center of it. The play between profound grounding and ephemeral flight when singing. I leaned forward and was reminded that I’ve been singing more often lately, and have been aware of how healing and nourishing it is–improving my breathing, posture, relaxing overextended muscles and recruiting neglected ones, calming my vagus response and emotions, and much more. I’m curious about how to bring singing more deeply and consistently into my routines. 00:47:13 Nichole BPN (she/her): I feel that so much. I can’t figure out a name or “title” for what I do beyond facilitator, but I’ve been wondering how i can help reimagine a more equitable world and more equitable way of leading. I was feeling really overwhelmed and hurt by some conversations I experienced today and the peace from the practice helped the ease some of the pain of being in spaces with people who don’t value the same thing i do 00:47:31 Lezlee Ann: Reacted to "I leaned back and wa..." with ❤️ 00:47:37 London (they/she): Reacted to "I feel that so much...." with ❤️ 00:47:42 Lezlee Ann: Reacted to "I feel that so much...." with ❤️ 00:49:31 London (they/she): I love the reminder that practicing awareness helps us rebound in the “how” & “why” of our lives when we get so caught up in trying to understand “WHAT” I am supposed to do 00:49:40 London (they/she): *reground 00:49:42 Radha Dalal: Reacted to "I feel that so much...." with ❤️ 00:49:42 Rachel (she/her/hers): Reacted to "*reground" with ❤️ 00:49:51 Radha Dalal: Reacted to "*reground" with ❤️ 00:49:54 Jamie (she/her): Reacted to "*reground" with ❤️ 00:51:00 Radha Dalal: FEEL YOU 00:51:07 Jessica (she/her): Reacted to "FEEL YOU" with ❤️ 00:51:36 Rachel (she/her/hers): Reacted to "FEEL YOU" with ❤️ 00:52:18 Sara A (she/ her/ hers): Definitely relate to overthinking, learning to incorporate listening to my body and not just my mind during svadhyaya 00:52:31 London (they/she): Reacted to "Definitely relate to..." with ❤️ 00:52:54 Rachel (she/her/hers): Reacted to "Definitely relate to..." with ❤️ 00:53:23 Karen McMillan: Reacted to "I leaned back and wa..." with ❤️ 00:54:09 Carly Joelle: Susanna, you teach in such a powerful and embodied way - I really feel like your message always gets delivered with lots of clarity - so it’s really calming for me to hear that you still have a personal (and totally normal human) experience of nervous energy. The root of self compassion, self love, self confidence is self study. Getting to know myself, being curious without judgement has been the catalyst to creating a more aligned life for myself. Constant reminder to observe & inquire, without judging. My practice has been doing it scared. That we will never be 100% ready & that’s ok. We get to do it messy and give ourselves the kindness we need to be ok with that. I keep getting messages to continue creating and sharing. It feels so scary & also so aligned.
